When ever i look at Gunpla model kits with that dirt effect (Which looks damn good on those GM's btw O_O) on they're legs and feet. I can't help but think that maybe they stormed through a slight Cheeto storm. XD

Although, I do admit, building Gunpla for a living sounds tempting! XD

Just curious but why did you mix a GM Cannon together? Its the body on this kit better than the original?

Um, the original GM Cannon came out around 1981. The kit is OLD, and its proportions are WAY off compared to recent kits. Not to mention no waist movement, and general bad articulation compared to kits released less than a decade later.

So in two decades they haven't changed the kit design?

Pretty much.

Look at it this way- this is a picture of the RX-78 that was released at the time- [link] (click on the side for more views)
And this is the HGUC model- [link]
And this is the MSV GM Cannon- [link]

The "style" of the old 1980 kits are vastly different, and are pretty much incompatible when it comes to parts. Since the GM Cannon has not seen a "modern" release, I was forced to "kitbash" one by using the parts that were exclusive to the GM Cannon and putting them on an HGUC GM.

I've seen people do similar things with other old MSV kits, like the GM Sniper Custom, Guncannon III , and the many Zeon variants.

I don't recall a Guncannon 3. Is it model only?

So you grafted the cannon, rear head piece, leg armor and backpack then?

I'm sorry, the Guncannon Heavy Arms type (RX-77-3). I keep calling it the "Guncannon III" because the next suit, the RX-77-4 (Guncannon II) I keep calling the "Guncannon IV. :/

As for the GM Cannon, yes, essentially. a lot of modifications had to be made for the parts to both look accurate, and be poseable. The rear head piece had to be cut in half and sanded down to fit- since it was larger than the HGUC GM's head! (again the proportions).

Also, as you can see from the WIP, I cut the GM's torso apart to fit the piece that's exclusive to the GM Cannon (the chest vent and mount).

Did you use the cannon from the old GM Cannon kit? Or did you use something else?

With all the work you did maybe you ot to enter your White Dingo team trio in a gunpla contest

Yeah, the cannon is from the old kit- its one of the better parts of the kit- very nicely engineered. (Plus, where would I find another cannon like that? ^^;)

I might consider entering them... but they're no where near professional- despite the paint, there are seam lines everywhere, and they have a lot of imperfections.

This project was mostly a "fun" one. I don't like competitions in general. I usually have qualms what what the definition of "good" is...

"Fang 2" (Leung Fee-Fai)
"Fang 3" (Maximilian Berger)
"Oasis" (Hovertruck)

So many people sell short the abilities of the GM. But these guys took it to the MAX! Did you know they later joined the AEUG and piloted grey Nemos?

Yeah, these guys makes me feel proud to be a Feddie... and they really made up for what happened to the GM Sniper II and Guncannon MP in 0080...

And I did not hear that last bit! My knowledge of the White Dingo team is pretty much restricted to the game- which is only during the One Year War.

Out of curiosity, do you have a link or something? :D

It was official info I stumbled accross a while back. The White Dingos joined the AEUG to fight against the Titans. They were given three stock MSA-003 Nemos that were painted in their colors. They didn't have any unusual mods except the Long Beam Rifle that was developped for the Super Gundam. After the Titans were desolved the White Dingos disappeared and haven't been heard from since

I found this link- which sounds exactly what you're describing.
[link]

Unfortunately, it appears to be the "made up" back story of the MS he's making (he describes it as a work of "pure fiction, and may conflict with Gundam canon")

So as nice as that sounds, it looks like the only known exploits of the White Dingoes is from Rise from the Ashes.

Although, with the upcoming release of the HGUC WD GM Sniper II (which I pre-ordered ASAP), I can't help but be suspicious of the circumstances... maybe the White Dingo team is gonna make another reappearance soon...
