Finally done! Please note, this is NOT a response to "Derpgate"! It was inspired by a comment I read on EqD- about how they were tired of Derpy being silly and being obsessed with muffins. This is my response.

Some of the comments in here are pretty loud. (i.e. harsh critisism) Some people complain about Derpy and her muffin thing, I just picture it as something she really likes. (like Pinkie Pie and treats/parties) But I also see her as having a soft, young girl voice, sometimes responsive to what you say to her, others times off in her imagination. I see her as a hard working mailmare and a hard-loving mother of Dinky. And we all know that the Derpy/Dinky relationship is purely fan made, but in all honesty, Derpy has become, not a pony of Hasbro, but a pony of the fan-dom. (As far as I'm aware, even her name) I see her as being clumsy, but if you need, or ask her to do something, she will happily do it. (Though there may be some minor accidents in the process) And when Derpy does talk, it is usually short, sometimes none-sensical, sentences. She's more than capable of thinking, but most often, her thoughts are simple and strait to the point.

She's depicted many ways in the fandom... my personal head-canon matches her appearance in "The Last Roundup" pretty well. A well meaning somewhat oblivious accident prone pollyanna always happy to lend a hoof to help her friends.

...When she isn't getting into trouble.

In "The Last Roundup," it seemed she was a bit to much of a hyper-active cluts. I'd think it would be less of her causing trouble with everything she touches, more doing things in a clumsy way. And I guess I just see her voice being different than it was, and that she doesn't talk as much as she did.

While I didn't think she was "hyper active," I DO agree her... clutzyness should be toned down a tad.

As for her voice... as long as its Ms Tabitha. She's a WONDERFUL voice actress.
