Description
At long last, probably one of my favorite Gundam types in its blue and gold glory! ^^
If there is one thing that I must stress about this model, its that its TINY. It seriously feels like a "scaled down" mobile suit- even moreso than the Victory (due to its now apparent bulkiness.) Ironically, my biggest problem isn't the copious amounts of stickers (especially on the VSBRs,) its the fact that I have a hard time taking apart the HANDS to put weapons in them! They're freaking tiny!
That being said, YES the copious amount of decals are a problem- but interestingly not a big a problem as I thought it would be. And, lets face it, on a kit this SMALL it would be nearly impossible to sculpt it in color- even the F91 in its regular colors!
Aside from the "small handling" and decal problems, this kit is a DREAM. I simply LOVE the sculpt, and its articulation is on par with most of the modern kits (near 180 bends at elbows and knees, excellent ankle tilts, double ball jointed torso.) I also LOVE the beam shield- it works better than any other F91 kit I've gotten (even if it requires a bit of paint) and it just LOOKS AWESOME. If there is a single problem with the kit (aside from the other two aforementioned issues) is that- once again- the shoulder polycaps are inadequate. I seriously don't know why they havent fixed this problem by now, but just like with my Wing Gundam and Victory, I replaced the shoulder polycaps with some older ones.
The HGUC F91 is an awesome kit, and I highly recommend picking up the standard color, or even this version if you like it!
Oh and YES I GOT A ZAKU. IN ZEON COLORS. Its the one from the ground war and came with two EFF Tanks.
